While visiting Orvieto you can take daily trips to the following villages:
Civita di Bagnoregio
Orvieto, Umbria, Italy - Orvieto is a medieval village that sits on a flat surface on this huge rock called Tufa. The Duomo from Orvieto has beautiful afrescos from Luca Signorelli, called Last Judgment.

Pre-heat oven at 350 F. Spread butter on a Pyrex and sprinkle with a 1/4 cup of Graham Crackers. Beat 3 eggs, add the brown sugar, add the melted butter, basking powder, mashed bananas, and last the liqueur, mix all ingredients manually. Pour half of the mixture on a Pyrex, then add walnuts and chocolate chips, sprinkle cinnamon. Top with the other 1/2 of the mixture. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until cake is not wet inside (test it with a toothpick, once it comes out clean, the cake is ready). Serve with a good cup of coffee! Yammm….
I just finished reading this lovely book that my sister gave me called .Uma Parisiense no Brasil. by Adèle Toussaint-Samson. In her autobiography, Adèle relates her memories as a Parisian woman who migrates to Brazil in mid-18th century. During the 12 years that Adèle lived in Brazil, she observed the cultural contrast between France and her new land. Through Adèle’s eyes, we are transported in time to see the ethical and moral values of that era, how she related with all layers of society – the cariocas, the African slaves, and the Brazilian monarchy. Slowly, Adèle learned to appreciate the beauty of her new adopted tropical country. Mme. Toussaint-Samson’s book was published in France and Brazil in 1883 but it was then completely forgotten for over a century. .Uma Parisiense no Brasil. was recently translated and published, and the new edition displays images from her original book. The book has only 188 pages, it is an easy book and a beautiful story.
